Generational theory is applied to many other aspects of our daily functioning: our educational pursuits, HR recommendations for job positions, and even political strategy plays. We at Exist Centers believe that the generation (and society) you're born into affects your well-being and mental health significantly and that treatment should address these aspects of your existence just like other areas of our lives. We develop your treatment plan with the understanding that you do not live in a vacuum and are highly affected and shaped by what occurs around you.

*NOTE: We can and do treat adults in generations older than our main focus if they have been affected by similar cultural experiences.

The Care Team at Exist Centers does not view addiction as a moral failing or as a life-long disease. We view it as a trauma. We view it as a physiological and psychological solution to internal and external pain that has become a problem of its own.

Exist is a 100% drug and alcohol-free program and we work with our clients to develop recovery plans along the abstinence-harm reduction spectrum from full abstinence to medication management to harm reduction techniques. 

*Note: In order to participate in our programs, you must be abstinent from any substances not otherwise prescribed by a medical doctor or authorized prescriber

Existing with a personality that often clashes with others and makes building a life difficult can be exhausting. We don't want to change you.

We want to help you understand yourself and gain more control over your choices to act, feel, and think. 

We do not complete full neuropsychological testing at Exist but we can inform you of potential diagnoses based on our work with you.

Mental health is not just about your thoughts, feelings, and actions. It's also about how your body functions, how society treats you, the type of supports you have, and much more.

We address depression and anxiety symptoms and disorders as though they are reactions to both your inner and outer worlds.
